The intent of this blog is to solicit your opinion on issues of concern to engineers. What are the issues that PEO Council should address?
I know that I am not "the expert" or, may even have all the relevant information for many issues I have to vote on. To effectively represent you, I need to know what you think.
Generally the information flow in PEO, is top down. You, the members have very few vehicles to inform and influence Council members. On my side, as an individual Council member, I have almost no way to have a meaningful two way exchange with the general membership.
As individuals, we have our own opinions. But we have no way to find out what our peers think. This blog is an attempt to engage you, the members of our profession.

ReplyDeleteI will say that the candidate running this blog, Mr Carlos, has done more to bring new people into PEO activities than anyone I have known in PEO and I've been a P.Eng. for several decades. He's also come up with some new ideas. Mr Carlos should be given a "PEO Community Award", or something like this. He's a very good ambassador for the profession.
Question: Does PEO function in a democratic manner? What will you do to make it more democratic?
